We see trees topped in our neighborhood. At one time it was a common practice but it is not now. Here's why.
- You put it into a state of shock!
- You deprive the tree of its food source
- You open pathways and invite disease, insects, and rot thus weakening the tree.
- You actually make the tree more dangerous because its new branches are weak and likely to fall.
