Good Morning.

I just want to say how happy and pleased I am that the ERGC pulled off another successful Garden Walk this weekend.  I am so very honored and grateful to have been a part of the fun and excitement.

Everyone I spoke to said that they enjoyed all the gardens and that “Newport is such a cool town, with cool people, who put on wonderful events”.  I heard nothing but praise and good vibes surrounding the event and the East Row.  I even had a 74-year-old gentleman come into my garden and breakdown in tears stating that “He was moved by the beauty of the garden and the plants”.  How incredible! And, then he picked up Nathanial's guitar and played the most beautiful music - this is the kind of magic that happens on the garden walk.

Gardens do move people and the ERGC did a great service in spreading the love of gardens to all who attended.   “Thank you” to all that helped make this weekend a very special time for all of us!

The fact we can extend our deepest passion and joy throughout the community is priceless.  We received so many beautiful accolades “we moved to Newport because of your garden” was my Academy Award and all these words just fill us with joy! 

The gardens were exceptional this year. So proud to see how this has evolved since I first had the honor and privilege to participate in 2001.
