Unfortunately, the newest statistics prove that since1970, 3 billion birds have vanished throughout the United States and Canada! More than 90% of the losses come from only 12 families including the blackbirds, finches, sparrows, and warblers, according to a study from The Cornell Lab of Ornithology. During our Zoom meeting, Dan Sweigard of Wild Birds Unlimited, will provide the facts and what you, as gardeners in your backyard, can do to help reverse the tragedy by presenting Cornell’s seven simple steps that include having your backyard designated as a Wildlife Habitat.
