As writer and editor at the former Cincinnati Museum of Natural History, Anita Buck also helped to care for the “education bats” — the brown bat colony at the museum’s reproduction limestone cave — and to answer the public's “nuisance bat” calls. After leaving the museum, she worked with bat rehabilitation and was a longtime member of the Second Chance Wildlife Rescue Association. Now retired from rehab, she continues to offer advice and educate the public about bats.
