Field Trip: Renaissance Garden Ornament, 3209 Madison Road, Cincinnati 45209 (Oakley)
March 21: Arbors, Fountains, and Urns! Oh My!
Yay! We’re traveling this month to Renaissance Garden Ornament, located in the heart of Oakley and a favorite past destination of the garden club. Experience the spa-like atmosphere of the 3,000-square-foot showroom, which offers introduce new collections of topiary forms, arbors, and trellises, along with one of the most unique inventories of pottery, fountains, birdbaths, urns, planters, statues, sculptures, décor, and furnishings in the area. Apparently, March is a terrific month to visit since the shop will wall plaques handcrafted by Haitian artists from recycled steel drums and teak products from Indonesia. (Plus, you’ll receive a 20 percent discount on all purchases!)
Gabe Rice, owner, will offer advice on choosing art for your garden including how to determine scale and discover focal points based on your garden’s design. After operating a landscape design/build company for 20 years, Gabe opened Renaissance in 2005 to pursue his lifelong passion for garden decor. The shop is located at 3209 Madison Road (zip: 45209) on the third floor of the Voltage Lofts building one mile east of Rookwood Commons. Gather at 6:30 pm; Gabe will speak at 7 pm. Information on food and libations will be posted soon. Parking is available in the lot in front of Voltage Lofts or on Madison Road. Info: 513-321-2430.
